Bloating, puffiness, or fluid retention
Drain Dampness
Supports Relief From
Drain Dampness helps ease swelling, water retention, and that heavy, bloated feeling that often accompanies sluggish digestion or poor fluid metabolism. Whether due to travel, diet, illness, or seasonal changes, this formula works to support urinary flow and reduce puffiness in the limbs or abdomen.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this formula addresses “dampness” — a pattern of fluid accumulation that disrupts normal organ function. Drain Dampness clears excess water from the body while simultaneously strengthening the Spleen and warming the Kidney yang, which are essential for healthy fluid transformation and movement.
How It Works Holistically
Based on the classic formula Wu Ling San, Drain Dampness combines diuretic and spleen-strengthening herbs that promote proper fluid elimination while supporting digestion. Alisma, polyporus, and poria help drain excess dampness through urination, while Atractylodes and cinnamon bark warm and invigorate digestive and kidney function, preventing further buildup.
This dual action—clearing excess and reinforcing function—makes it especially helpful in situations like jet lag, edema from illness, fluid-related headaches, or swelling associated with weather changes. It’s gentle enough for short-term use yet robust in addressing deeper imbalances in water metabolism.
When Drain Dampness Is Right for You
Reach for Drain Dampness when you’re feeling bloated, heavy, or waterlogged—especially after travel, during times of poor digestion, or with seasonal changes that cause fluid retention. It may also be appropriate for chronic damp patterns affecting the urinary system, limbs, or abdomen. Best used between meals for optimal absorption.

Excellent quality. I feel less phlegmy and weighed down after just the second dose. An excellent company with amazing traditional Chinese Medicine formulations. Really aptly described by the company.
Why I Chose It:I’ve been exploring herbal solutions for bloating and fluid retention, and the Drain Dampness formula caught my attention. It features a trusted Traditional Chinese Medicine mix—Wu Ling San—with ingredients like alisma, poria, polyporus, cinnamon bark, bai-zhu, and atractylodes, all encapsulated in easy-to-take vegetable capsules. That blend in one bottle made it feel convenient and well-thought-out.Packaging & Presentation:The bottle arrived securely sealed, and each capsule is size-neutral and vegetarian-friendly, which I appreciate. It’s clearly labeled and feels reassuring from a quality standpoint. The brand emphasizes stringent herb sourcing, lab testing, and uniform potency, which gave me added confidence.Usage & Experience:Following the suggested dosage—3 capsules per day—for a full 30-day supply, I began noticing subtle changes within about a week. My bloating was noticeably reduced, and I felt lighter. I also sensed improved fluid regulation, especially noticeable after salty meals. What I Appreciate Most: • The overall well-being boost with balanced hydration and reduced puffiness. • The herbal blend seems gentle yet effective—no jitteriness or weird side effects. The natural approach feels thoughtful. • It’s a concentrated formula, so there’s no need to mix multiple supplements to get this effect.Ideal for:Anyone looking for a natural, herbal-based supplement to support kidney and bladder function, particularly if you’re dealing with mild water retention or want better fluid balance.Minor Consideration:As with any supplement, results varied over time. The effects are subtle—so give it at least two weeks before expecting more noticeable changes.Bottom Line:This formula delivers a gentle, effective boost to fluid balance and comfort. If you’re into herbal remedies and Traditional Chinese Medicine blends, this product is a winner. I’d definitely reorder and recommend it to friends!
This formula draws from Wu Ling San, a classic blend in Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been used for centuries to support kidney and bladder health while helping regulate excess moisture in the body. The main herbs include alisma, poria, and polyporus—three well-known ingredients in TCM that are often chosen for their ability to promote urination and reduce internal “dampness.” Cinnamon bark and atractylodes are also included, which are traditionally thought to help harmonize digestion, circulation, and overall fluid balance. Taken together, the blend is designed to help with water retention, bloating, and the kind of internal heaviness that TCM describes as damp accumulation. The dosage is set at three capsules per day, which makes the 90-capsule bottle a straightforward one-month supply. The formula itself isn’t meant to act like a harsh diuretic; rather, it aims to work more gently and steadily, consistent with TCM principles of rebalancing rather than quick fixes. When taking it, I didn’t notice any dramatic overnight changes, but I did feel it supported a sense of lightness and less water heaviness when used consistently. Like many herbal blends, the benefits are subtle and gradual, and often best appreciated over longer-term use rather than immediate results. For those interested in natural kidney and bladder support rooted in traditional formulas, this feels like a thoughtful and practitioner-trusted option.**As always, results can vary from person to person. Consulting a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement is advisable. Keep well (:
The directions make it sound like you need to take 9 a day. Don't do that. 3 a day total, split up across the day between meals. The cinnamon in it is the only part I've taken before, so the rest of this is new. The effects are relatively subtle, but definitely present as my mild edema has been notably reduced within a couple days. The rest of the potential effects are more interesting: digestive improvements, kidney protection, liver support, blood sugar reduction, and blood lipid reduction are all potential effects that I can't speak to without a blood panel test but are very interesting as longer term benefits. Without that, I can only speak to the immediate effects: it seems to do what it says. To sum up: the supplement itself seems to be good quality, the label directions rather less so. Solid recommendation.
