Loose stools, poor appetite, fatigue, and brain fog

Shen Ling

Supports Relief From

Shen Ling is used for chronic or recurring digestive issues such as loose stools, fatigue after meals, low appetite, and bloating—especially when these symptoms are accompanied by mental fogginess or muscle weakness. It also supports children or adults with undernourished digestion and mild focus issues due to low energy and poor absorption.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this formula strengthens the spleen, clears dampness, and addresses spleen qi deficiency—a root cause of loose stools, fatigue, pale complexion, and poor mental focus. It is often prescribed after illness, chemotherapy, or gastrointestinal infections to rebuild digestive resilience.

How It Works Holistically

Shen Ling gently restores balance to the digestive system. Codonopsis and bai-zhu atractylodes tonify spleen qi, while poria and job’s tears drain dampness and support fluid metabolism. Sacred lotus seed and Chinese yam stop diarrhea and nourish yin. Eleuthero adds a gentle adaptogenic quality, boosting qi and helping restore resilience. Cardamom, tangerine peel, and platycodon harmonize and regulate digestion, ensuring proper absorption.

Together, these herbs create a deeply restorative formula that improves energy, digestion, and mental clarity—especially useful for those recovering from long-term digestive depletion or childhood digestive challenges.

When Shen Ling Is Right for You

Shen Ling is a good fit if you or your child experience daily loose stools, lack of appetite, fatigue, or trouble concentrating. It’s also appropriate after an acute digestive illness, or during recovery from antibiotic use or chemotherapy that has weakened digestion. Best results come with warm, cooked foods and a digestive-friendly diet.

Not appropriate if there are signs of heat such as red tongue, irritability, or dry constipation.
