It is estimated that seven out of ten people will have shoulder or neck pain at some point in their life. Between 50-85 percent of patients experiencing neck pain, will be affected again within five years. Common treatments such as lengthy bed rest or wearing a neck collar have been replaced with physical therapy and acupuncture. In this workshop, we will discuss adjunctive treatments that will reduce the need for surgery and medication. We will discuss muscle strain and soft tissue injuries, osteoarthritis, frozen shoulder, degenerative disk disease, rotator cuff tears, nerve pain, and whiplash.
