Hormonal Health Update

Hormones are the body’s chemical messengers. Produced in the endocrine glands, these powerful chemicals travel around the bloodstream communicating with tissues and organs and help control many of the body’s major processes, including metabolism and reproduction.

Common hormonal conditions affecting both men and women could cause any of the following symptoms: weight gain, fatigue, increased sensitivity to cold or heat, constipation or more frequent bowel movements, dry skin, puffy face, unexplained weight loss, increased or decreased heart rate, muscle weakness and frequent urination. In herbal practice, common western hormonal conditions include Diabetes, Menopause, Adrenal Insufficiency, and Erectile Dysfunction.

In Hormonal Health Update, we discuss herbal and nutritional solutions for patients with diabetes, menopause, adrenal Insufficiency, low testosterone and erectile dysfunction. A question and answer period follows the presentation. Andrew Gaeddert, RH, founder of Health Concerns, has studied, researched, and practiced herbal medicine for over thirty-five years. He has worked with UCSF, Emory University and John Bastyr University on research projects related to digestion, immunology, and gynecology.
