Ask the Herbalist – Insomnia, Depression, Anxiety

In clinical practice insomnia, depression and anxiety are very common. While most people experience anxiety as a natural response to the stress and worries of life, insomnia includes inability to sleep, difficulty falling asleep, frequent waking, restlessness at night, and disordered sleep cycle. Depression is characterized by sadness, excessive rumination, inability to experience pleasure and feelings of hopelessness.

In this webinar, Andrew Gaeddert, RH, founder of Health Concerns, discusses common TCM patterns, the importance of stress reduction and exercise, thoughts about weaning patients off anti-depressants, and the many benefits of improved sleep. Mr. Gaeddert shares insights from masters of traditional Chinese medicine and his own clients. Case studies are presented.
