An 82 year old patient is suffering the aftermath of a second pancreatic attack in seven months. She is at a high risk for surgery which at her age and in her condition, the fear is that she may not come through a surgery. She is also suffering cholecystitis. She has got all the symptoms of gall stones including trembling, gas, a tendency towards constipation, general digestive discomfort with nausea, bladder infection and about 5 or 6 stones in gall bladder. The practitioner would like to address kidney qi deficiency, the digestive upset, and the gallstones. What is the risk factor in using GB-6 for a person in this condition? Will it work to dissolve the stones within 6 months? Can we use herbs to get the gall bladder to heal?

The risk factor to use GB-6 for a patient in this condition is very low.  GB-6 may have a dissolving effect on the gall stones within 6 months time.  We would definitely suggest using herbs to heal the gall bladder.  We would use GB-6 plus Chzyme.  Start the dosage at 1 capsule of each TID, then increase to 2 capsules of GB-6 QID plus 1-2 capsules Chzyme QID with and/or between meals.
