48 year old female vacationing in Mexico for 2 weeks. Very hot weather 84 low – 118 high. While vacationing she started having hot flashes which have continued since her return to the Bay Area. She wonders if she should begin taking Astra Essence. She is concerned about interaction with other drugs/herbs she is now taking – Progest (cream), Thyrolar, Synthroid, Thyroforte, Thyrotrophen. Other symptoms include: Hearing loss, ringing in ears, memory loss, and mood swings. She has low blood sugar she controls with diet. High estrogen.

I would take herbs/drugs 2 hours apart. I would be more inclined to use Three Immortals than Astra Essence, although Astra Essence is okay. I would add Coptis Purge Fire if hot flashes are severe.
