End to Sinus Suffering
By Andrew Gaeddert
In a study published in the March 2007 issue of Archives of Otolaryngology, suggests that antibiotics are being greatly over prescribed for sinus infections which in most cases are either caused by a virus or fungus. The study, quoted in the article, mentioned that eighty-three percent of the patients with acute sinus infection where dispensed antibiotics and seventy percent of patients diagnosed with chronic sinus infection were treated with antibiotics. About 3-5 percent acute sinus infections are bacterial in nature.
For acute and chronic sinus infections the combination of Nasal Caps 2 and Coptis Purge Fire is very useful. Typical dosage is 2 capsules four times per day of Nasal Caps 2, and 2 capsules four times per day of Coptis Purge Fire along with nasal irrigation. For long term sinus infections we have received excellent feedback with the enzyme formula Serramend, even in the cases of clients who have had sinus surgery. Serramend reduces swelling and improves blood flow, which in turn promotes long term healing.

Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses, usually caused by an allergy or an infection. Acute sinusitis usually results in pain, tenderness and swelling over the affected sinus. Any change in vision or swelling around the eyes should be evaluated by a health professional or a specialist as soon as possible.
