The North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCAAOM) brings internationally-renowned speaker Dr. Misha Cohen to present on "Chronic Liver Disease and Cancer Support."

Chronic liver disease affects more than 30 million people-or one in 10 Americans-in the U.S. today. This includes hepatitis C, hepatitis B, auto immune hepatitis and close to 100 other liver diseases. The fastest growing chronic liver disease is fatty liver disease.  It will soon surpass hepatitis C and alcohol cirrhosis as the primary reason for liver transplant in the developed world.  People with liver disease need to be identified, receive a Western diagnostic workup and can also benefit from using Chinese medicine, nutritional support and other non-pharmaceutical treatments.
